India Cement’s (ICL) Chennai Super Kings (CSK) has lined up a slew of merchandising and promotional activities for the cricket fans on the occasion of holding the third season of IPL tournament.

Senior officials of ICL said on Monday, CSK has been constantly evolving and innovating on several fronts. This time, it has over 16 sponsors. Also, a first of its kind, five-year merchandising tie up with Gurgaon-based Oceanbed Gifts & Mechandise, has seen an infusion of a variety of novel merchandise for the fans, including tee-shirts, caps, coffee mugs and autographed bats.

They said last year, it could not do much merchandise business as the IPL was held in South Africa. This time, over 28 items with a price range of Rs 60 to Rs 600 for all age groups have been lined through the tie up.

Gayathri Venugopalan of Oceanbed said: “We kept in mind the affordability factor while ensuring premium is attached to the products. We are mainly looking at sales through retail channel though there is scope for institutional sales through CSK sponsors and partners”.

The fans can buy the items through website and shopping portals as well as from popular retail outlets across Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Bangalore, Kerala and parts of Mumbai and NCR.
