  6. Sameer K. Tijoriwala on April 28th, 2009 4:37 pm

WRT yesterdays match of MI & KKR it is quite clear that the KKR team is demoralised, the onus of the same is on Mr Buchanan & associates, who had stirred up the multi captain issue, before the IPL started. SRK should think of the players in the field & the money invested. My heart goes out to Dada, who had nearly pulled up a great win against RYs, excepting the catch offered by his partner.

  7. rickyraj on April 28th, 2009 9:22 pm

IPL 2009 is very colorful in south africa.
Its a best time to travel to SA and enjoy IPL matches along with touring SA.
But sony tv is not showing cheerleaders very often on each 4 s or 6 s scored i don’t like this.

  8. raj jeganathan on May 4th, 2009 5:54 pm

The IPL is very interesting where ever it is held. We can see the commitment of the players and their enthusiasm shown. I only have one thing to say in the negative. That is the television coverage which should be more analytical with popular commentators and former players airing their views not only during the match but also when showing the highlights. The Sony TV should make the best use of this instead of showing other programms

  9. Sanjay Shah on May 5th, 2009 4:28 pm

The IPL is getting more and more interesting. Apart from Calcutta Knight Riders all the teams has chance to qualify for the Semi-final. According to me the team who demonstrate following qualities has good chance to win.

    1. Luck to win the toss (This is very critical in SA) also the team which has more australians and Srilanakan player have good chance to win as against the team which has more West Indies and England players
    2. Ability to make quick changes in game plan as per the requirements
    3. Team with good fielding and catching will have better chance to win
    4. Ability to surprise the opponents with new strategies and winning mental battle
    5. Lastly even if it is only 20-20 game it requires sensible batting not blind hitting and team which understand this concept has better chance to win . Also the wickets in hands are always better , and sometimes one has to look for run rate as well because even when one knows that they are not going to win they should not throw wickets rather than that they should try to play all 20 overs and reduce the margin of loss/victory. Like in yesterdays game Deccan Chargers lost last five wickets for very few runs they should have played at least 20 overs and should have scored as many runs as possible.
    6. And last but not least is team spirit , positivity and co-ordination and communication among the players ( Unlike KKR team)

  10. Kanaka Darshan on May 6th, 2009 2:08 am

The website is really good & gives info crisp & clear.
However, I find that the data is not showing completely when opened the scorecard in flash… as it gets hidden on the extrem right hand side… apart from this I find the data consolidation & visulization in Flash to be great!!! compared with other sites…

ADMIN : Thanks for Compliments Darshan.
Flash is a service provided by third party. We have been testing it too.
They have said they are working on it, we hope it gets corrected soon.
Anyhow ! if it doesnt we will replace it, sorry for inconvenience caused.

  14. SATHEESH EMBAR on May 11th, 2009 10:52 am

As a primary game / sport of India, Cricket is fast changing in its format while benefiting hundreds of young unknown promising players, in the likes of IPL and ICL.

If you note thoroughly, in limited overs championships, either 50- or 20-over matches, there is a restriction in fielding placement of players, bowling number of overs by a player etc. WHY NOT INTRODUCE THAT A BATSMAN CAN ONLY PLAY A CERTAIN MAXIMUM OF OVERS OR RATHER EVEN NUMBER OF BALLS.

This will give a equal opportunity for other batsmen like it is now applied for bowlers…

Congratulations for this lovely entertainment and the excellent charity Mr. Modi has initiated to school children in South Africa.

  15. N.Sashind on May 13th, 2009 7:35 am

Surprisingly… you update the scores n standings before the official IPL website.

  19. Amogh GM on May 19th, 2009 5:03 pm

Some alternatives should be made for the rain affected matches. I know its not possible this year but atleast they can plan from next year. Becoz dividing the points among the teams will not be fine n we will lose lot of action from tht rain affected match. This request is not only mine…. but from lot of cicket lovers all over the world:):):):):):):)

  20. avinash on May 20th, 2009 1:44 pm

  21. samson on May 20th, 2009 2:59 pm

Yes what Amogh says is perfectly right. Distribution of points may not be a right idea. But make sure that there is a new match again. It would be just a suggestion

    YEh.. great website..
I visit everyday to check where all the teams are ranked and who all r playng that day..
I jus want to say.. Bangalore Royal Challengers and Deccan Chargers have made a great come back in this second season of IPL and also Chennai Superkings have maintained their previous seasons ranking of 2nd place which is also a Great achievement.. But Most of All Hatz oFF to Delhi Daredevils for playng really well this 09 IPL.. Shows every1 that all the teams are very strong with great talent in every player.. Unfortunately Kolkata Kightriders had the worst season with the Best possible Opening batsmen pair of Brendon McCullum and Chris Gayle did not succeed..

Love this website.. keep up the good work..
    Cheerz!!

  26. sandeep on May 22nd, 2009 10:49 am

IPL is a great game and i am supporting for royal challangers bangalore and u all support our team i am very happy that kumble push the team to semis enjoy bangalore rocks all the best RCB

  27. Muchhadiya Dipak on May 22nd, 2009 3:17 pm

I have alwas been a huge fan of shane warne. I was very disappointed seeing my team going out of IPL . It was a very sad moment for me. I think shane warne’s captancy was superb throughout the tournament but he did not get support from his batsmen. But still shane warne should be credited for sharpening the blunt indian domestic player .He has really shown that good skipper can take best from ordinary players like Jadeja and Yusuf Pathan. One of the most imp thing of warne’s captancy is that ability to bind all the player under one roof .

  28. Max on May 22nd, 2009 9:27 pm

I have been paying close attention to all the games, as well as the commentators.
I have heard Harsha and I think he’s the best of the lot.
His knowledge of the game and casual wit is quite refreshing and I honestly think he’s better that the so-called ex-pro’s.
    Pommy is pretty good too.
Who is this guy and where is he from?

  29. Alex Briggs on May 22nd, 2009 10:54 pm

i think that the ipl is a great event and should be supported around the globe but should not be as well paid i think that kevin pieterson and andrew flintoff are on to much money.

    Alex Briggs

  30. Russell Martin on May 23rd, 2009 12:16 am

I think the kkr needs a better bolwer who can help ishant sharma.
including captain mcmullum the other batsmen like ganguly should hve performed well i think they will do their best next year

  31. Pawan Kumar on May 24th, 2009 10:14 am

Its great to see the last year two lower bottom team comeback this year superly and it will interesting to watch battle between Royal Challanger and Deccan Charger when Gilli and Jumbo face to each other on wanders But according to my view both team have potential to win cup because both are same according to their bench strenght

  32. Pawan Kumar on May 24th, 2009 10:18 am

According to my view this tournament Rajasthan Royals has the little bit pride due to that they could not qualify for Semis on other hand misbehaviour with Indian Player like Mohd. Kaif and other player who performed very well last year was also the reason of downfall of this team and dependence of the foreigner player as well and Shane Watson and sohail Tanweer is also major factor of this circumstances of this team
